Ever think an auto body shop could change its “treadprint” to Green?

We’ve done it! Allston Collision Center, Boston’s premier collision repair specialist for three generations, is proud to announce it has gone Green. With the introduction of Aquabase Plus, a waterborne paint system, Allston Collision Center now saves over 1200 lbs. of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), a.k.a. hazardous waste. This is the equivalent of eliminating emissions for more than 5000 cars per year.

In addition to the Aquabase Plus, Allston Collision Center utilizes the most current recycling systems for thinners, solvents, aluminum, sheet metal, plastic bumpers and batteries. Our recycling efforts have always produced a reduction in our carbon footprint, however, with the addition of Aquabase Plus, we have increased our reduction by an additional 60%!

“Despite collision shops not being perceived as on the forefront of the green movement, our dedication to reducing hazardous waste and protecting our environment and our community has always been a priority” says Elaine M. O’Neill, President of Allston Collision Center. “We will continue our dedication to be on the cutting edge of eco-friendly technology for collision repair shops.”
